Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to our Year 6 class page! This is a special year full of exciting learning, new challenges and plenty of opportunities to grow together. We’ll support one another through tricky tasks, celebrate achievements big and small and face setbacks with resilience—knowing that mistakes help us learn and improve. Our classroom will be a place where effort is valued, confidence grows and every child feels proud to shine.

PE lessons will be every Monday and Friday, with swimming taking place for the first 11 Mondays—so please make sure children come prepared with their kits and a big splash of enthusiasm! As the final year of primary school, we want this journey to be joyful, meaningful and one that prepares children for what comes next. To support learning at home and extend some knowledge even further, I have added some useful free websites below—including an online dictionary and thesaurus, a free digital library and a coding platform. Let’s make this year one to remember!
